There’s a hidden way to make money on Substack.
First of all, I want to be clear: this isn’t magic or a lottery.
You MUST write good articles that people want to read, and build a subscriber base on Substack.
I teach that in my other courses, so I won’t teach it here.
But once you have a Substack with good articles and new subscribers each day, the easiest - and under the radar way - to make money - for free - on Substack - and from scratch - is to hold Workshops on topics your readers would be interested in.
I know, I know.
That sounds SO SIMPLE that it must not work.
So many courses and methods of making money online are purposely complicated so people think they have to pay big money to learn the complicated method.
This is SO EASY.
Here’s WHY it works:
The article you write serves as it’s own filter for what people are interested in.
To give the simplest example of this, imagine you write 2 articles, one about dogs, one about cats.
Some people read the one about dogs, some people read the one about cats, and some skip both articles.
It has NOTHING to do with how good the articles are - it has to do with the self-filtering that’s occurring.
Dog people read dog articles.
Cat people read cat articles.
And no one else reads them.
Just like this article.
If you are reading this far, I have a pretty good guess here that you are interested in making money on Substack, and if you read to the end, it will likely mean you like the idea of the Workshop model.
The article topic ITSELF becomes a filter for the topic for your Workshop.
The SAME PEOPLE who are interested in your article, as long as the topic is the same, will be interested in your Workshop.
It’s not any more complicated than that.
So . . . here is the Workshop model steps (notice how simple they are):
Establish a newsletter on Substack and write interesting articles in the topic you want to teach Workshops in.
Get new subscribers organically on Substack using Notes, Comments, and Shareability
Design a 60-90 minute Workshop that teaches a detailed aspect of what you write articles about.
Charge $10 - $49 for the Workshop.
Promote the Workshop in your Substack Articles.
Bonus Steps:
Create a bonus course that Workshop attendees can ALSO buy. This might be $37 - $197
Create multiple Workshops - 1 per week - then record each and convert to courses
Build an email list of your Substack Subscribers. Cross promote your Workshop in your email list for additional sales.
One of the big advantages to building a Workshop business is that you never work for free. Meaning that if no one signs up for your Workshop, you just don’t hold it.
If 10 people sign up for a $49 Workshop, you got paid $490 BEFORE you ever show up to teach.
So if you teach a 90 minute Workshop and got paid $490, you made about $300 per teaching hour.
PLUS you can resell the recordings of your Workshop OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
And that’s free money.
You ALREADY got paid for recording the Workshop, so all of those sales are Bonus Sales.
By the way, do you want me to teach you - and show you - the EXACT details on How to Hold Workshops and Get Paid for Them - as Soon as Next Week?
If so, I am holding a 90 Minute AMAZING Workshop on Friday August 8th at 11 AM ET where I will teach every single step in detail.
You will be EMPOWERED to go out and get WORKSHOP buyers NEXT WEEK with your own articles just like this!

Thank you, Sean. I like the idea of workshops. When I think about a workshop, it makes me question my direction and realize the need to possibly narrow my niche or category.
Amazing way to monetise. I am new here and ready to explore Substack in best possible way. Because ultimately your goal is monetization.
