I love Substack...

I had actually decided to create my newsletter on Beehiiv, but at the last moment, I changed my mind.

I love the community here, even though I'm shy and normally not into social media.

Those comments and replies - they give me new inspiration for Notes and posts. And lots of good feelings.

Yes, 2025 will definitely be the year of Substack.

Britt, one of the things about the community here is it's not just fresh and new, but it's real people who want real engagement . . so that makes it so much easier to talk with folks and have real engagement, not just social clicking.

The Big Three in my mind are Substack, Beehiive, and Medium.

All have their pluses and minuses and their following. I see some Bloggers and Newsletter "gurus" suggest you need to be on at least two if not all three.

You need to decide which is the better fit for you.

Personally, I am on Substack and looking hard at Medium.

I’m interested. As long as there are tips for people who are writing about not writing, people that are writing about things other than selling, people that are writing stuff that isn’t for promotion. Because otherwise it’s fairly useless to me.

Every other person seems to be saying, write how I write, right what I write I write about writing, so write like this and you’ll get more people who want to write reading your writing and it’s just a big circle of not much really actually. And even if that makes money, it just isn’t me.

What seems to be missing quite often is substacks or other sites that promote how to succeed while actually doing a thing.
